Mary Pierce, MBA, QDDP, QMHP

President/Founder

Mary A. Pierce, a proud native of Newport News, Virginia, is a highly experienced professional in the behavioral health field. With over 20 years of experience spanning compliance, behavioral health, and business leadership, Ms. Pierce has honed a deep understanding of the industry's complexities, making her an invaluable asset in her field. Throughout her career, Ms. Pierce has held several key roles, including Executive Director, Regional Director, Program Manager, Mental Health Counselor, and Compliance Specialist for REACH, a state-funded crisis stabilization program. Her experience spans a wide range of programs, such as Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) services, Mental Health (MH) Case Management, and Skill Building. Additionally, she has implemented programs such as Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Programs (MHPHP), Substance Abuse Partial Hospitalization (SAPHP) and streamlined programs such as 23-hour Crisis, Mobile Crisis, and Crisis Stabilization Services. She has also been a major asset in revamping struggling business into sustainable and profitable businesses. In these roles, she has worked with individuals facing dual diagnoses, co-occurring disorders, substance abuse, and various behavioral health challenges, providing both clinical and leadership support in both residential and outpatient settings. ​

A passionate advocate for person-centered care, Ms. Pierce is dedicated to helping individuals achieve independence and stability through skills-building and providing resources for continuity of care. Her commitment to supporting those with behavioral health diagnoses and disabilities drives her to work tirelessly to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for those who are often unheard in society.

Ms. Pierce holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is also a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP), certified by the board of counseling. Her expertise includes compliance and regulatory knowledge, Medicaid laws, quality assurance principles, and data analysis, all of which contribute to her effective leadership in behavioral health management.

Previously, Ms. Pierce oversaw the daily operations and safety of a local mental health agency covering all Hampton Roads locations, managing over 300 clients and a team of 50 staff members, including clinicians, case managers, and support staff. In all her roles, she has demonstrated a keen ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships, collaborate with community partners, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

With a deep sense of responsibility and a desire to create meaningful change, Ms. Pierce is committed to leveraging her skills, education, and experience to serve her community and empower individuals with disabilities and behavioral health challenges to become productive, independent members of society. Mary is also the owner of AuhVee Behavioral Health and is a licensed Real Estate Professional in Virginia.
